Certain phrases seem to creep into our everyday vocabulary without us noticing. Before we know it, it becomes a regular part of how we respond to situations on the job or at home. For years now, I’ve heard the phrase, “it is what it is”. I found myself using that phrase from time to time, but no longer. It’s time to let go of it and embrace a new inconsistent mindset. Instead of “it is what is it”, let’s say “it is what you make it”.
